Trent Reznor
While checking for a bay area tour date on the NIN tour with Bauhaus, I noticed they will be playing shoreline down in the south bay and tickets go on sale next month for the public. But if you are part of the "Spiral" fan club, you get to purchase presale tickets a few days earlier. Sounds like a good plan so I looked into it. It's a NIN sponsored fan club, which is cool but wait, it costs money. Not only does it cost money to subscribe but there is 2 different tiers to this club. For $30/year you can be part of chats, band forums, ticket presales, and so forth. If you chose the $60/year tier you get all the amenities of the first tier but also a "special" spiral T-shirt and an official NIN e-mail address. Shouldn't fan clubs be free? Why are you charging your best fans to be part of your club?
I guess you are more of a capitalist than I thought. Good for you Trent, I'm happy you have true American qualities. I think President Bush would give you a good high five for this plan. I know I would but I'm not paying for your fan club...I can wait for public sale tickets.
Lesson to be learned: MAKE MONEY OFF EVERYONE YOU POSSIBLY CAN!!!
